TICKETS AND FARES
Passengers should buy a ticket before boarding wherever possible. Penalty fares may apply for journeys on the Abbey Line originating at Watford Junction.
Conductors will accept cash, credit or debit cards. Ticket machines are also available at all stations between Watford Junction and St Albans Abbey (currently this is card only). The Abbey Flyer is also a ‘pay train’ this means that for stations without ticket machines you can purchase tickets from the on-board conductor. Tickets can also be purchased online from the London Northwestern Railway website and National Rail.
Weekly season tickets can be purchased from the on-board conductor, online and at Watford Junction station.
If you have an onward connection and have not been able to purchase a ticket by the time you get to Watford Junction, you can buy one there at the excess fare window.
