Abbey Line Community Rail Fun Day 2nd June 2017

Join us for an afternoon of fun and activities for all ages whilst learning about the Abbey Line Community Rail Partnership and how it’s making a difference on the Abbey Line.

Learn more about our various volunteer opportunities or how you, your organisation, friends, family or local group can  ‘Adopt a Station’ on the line.

Venue and time:  St Albans Abbey Station Car Park on Friday 2nd June 2017 from 11am to 3pm | FREE entry

There will be a ‘ride on’ model train run by the North London Society Of Engineers, music by The Mardi Gras Jazz Band, face painting by Blue Orange Images, art and games for kids, ice cream vendor Tonino Gelato, hot & cold drinks vendor The Cats and Dogs Café, award winning magician Lewis Joss and balloon modeller Random Mike Performance & Entertainment will be on selected trains ** as well to entertain you.

There will also be a raffle on the day with amazing prizes to be won !

Look out for our specially decorated carriages if travelling on the Abbey Line to the event on 2nd June, Kids travel FREE on selected off peak trains* when travelling with a full paying adult.

We will also be joined by; The Abbey Theatre, Marston Vale Community Rail Partnership, Country Side Management Service, Westminster Lodge Leisure Centre, Abbey Line Station Adopters, Oakland College, St Albans Signal Box & Preservation Trust.

Travel Information : The St Albans Abbey Station Car Park will be closed all day for the event.  We encourage visitors to travel to the event by public transport, limited parking may be available at Westminster Lodge Leisure Centre and The Abbey theatre, please note parking fees may apply.

Train: Abbey Line from Watford Junction to St Albans Abbey Station.

Buses: 724, 321, SC1 from St Albans City Station to St Albans Abbey Station.
